A home invasion robbery is being investigated by the West Virginia State Police and troopers are asking for help from the public to solve the case.  The home invasion happened at around 9 a.m. in the Rock Creek area of Raleigh County on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017.   Brandon Lee Cantley is wanted for questioning in connection with the case.  Apparently two women were tied up during the robbery.  They have not been identified and troopers said they were not injured...

RECALL: Polaris Announces Immediate Recall of ATVs Due to Equipment Failure

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced an immediate recall for Polaris Scrambler all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) due to equipment failure. According to the CPSC, the recall includes 2,800 units of model year 2014 through 2017 Scrambler XP 1000 ATVS. LEWISBURG, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia's State Fair opens Thursday and fair officials say they will offer various admission discounts during its 10-day run in Lewisburg. On opening day, gates open at 2 p.m. with $5 admission tickets and $20 ride passes until 11 p.m. Other specials include $1 admission from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Aug. 16. SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Authorities say a West Virginia man found dead and handcuffed in a river likely drowned after he ran away from authorities. News outlets report the body of 43-year-old Howard Stiltner was found in the Kanawha River on Saturday. One person was taken to the hospital after a fire engine crashed on Dean Drive in Boothsville. 911 officials said the Boothsville Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched just before 7:30 p.m. to a fire on Sapps Run Road.  The fire truck swerved to miss an oncoming car and sideswiped a tree. The driver of the truck was treated and then released at United Hospital Center.  The crash resulted in about $6,000 in damage to the fire truck.
